Learners will identify major lymphatic structures, explain interstitial fluid movement, and describe how the body manages debris, stagnation, trauma response, and fluid buildup. Students will differentiate distal‑to‑proximal flow patterns and justify the need to prepare proximal basins before addressing distal regions. They will interpret how lymphatic anatomy influences post‑surgical swelling, congestion, tissue behavior, and recovery. Learners will apply evidence‑based reasoning to adapt treatment strategies within their professional scope and recognize when MLD principles, referral, or clinical caution are appropriate. By integrating anatomical knowledge with client‑centered decision‑making, students will strengthen clinical judgment and build a solid foundation for future hands‑on training.
